Several people are playing lawn bowls on a well-maintained grass field under a cloudy sky. Some are standing and some are leaning or sitting nearby, watching intently. There are buildings with red-tiled roofs and trees in the background.

Our History

Originally established 1923 with two bowling greens at the Unley Park Sports Club, the club grew over the years, with a women’s club joining in 1943. Now has one green in use with 8 lanes.

Following changes to local bowling clubs and an amalgamation with South Park Bowling Club in 2002, Unley Park entered a new chapter focused on social and community bowls.

Today, the club continues to bring people together through regular social bowls, including Saturday and weekday bowls and the popular Wednesday Night Owls competition during daylight saving.

More than a century on, Unley Park Bowling Club remains a welcoming place to enjoy bowls, friendship and community.

Unley Park Bowling Club has been part of the local community for more than 100 years, with a proud history dating back to 1923.
